Ι.Κ.Α. (the Social  Insurance Institute) – Ε.Τ.Α.Μ. has awarded to Space Hellas S.A. and Alapis Medical & Diagnostics S.A. the supply, installation, set up, interconnection and support of the IT & Network infrastructure and respective application software for the Biopathology Labs of 24 I.K.A. Medical Units. The total budget of the project amounts to 1,934 million €.

The Lab Information System that will be delivered is going to host applications and data necessary for the management of the administration processes of the biopathology labs and the improved servicing of the patient-centric system concept (e.g. patient identification, treatment continuity, unified processing of referrals to all I.K.A. Medical Units), whilst it will also host data that require centralised management, such as codifications, appointments, statistics, etc.

The capabilities of the offered Lab Information System will ensure the optimal management and coordination of the different I.K.A. Medical Units, thus aiming at improved patient service as well as stricter control and monitoring of medical prescriptions and supplies.
